I actually don't know many other bird owners to trade stories with, and I am curious about unique things/places visited/activities you do with your bird(s).

Personally, for Grace and I it has to be the time I took her with me to a religious retreat center in Kentucky. She was pretty good until we got to Louisville, but started hopping around in her carrier and squaking at that point. She loved watching the songbirds at the feeders. It wasn't meditative, but it sure was memorable!

Yellow Shoulder Amazon, Salty
Salty shared the stage with my band, The Brigands, when we did a local pirate festival last year. He was singing and laughing away ( he has a very distinctive laugh ). The stinker almost got a bigger hand then we did. Or maybe when I took him to work, where he had to show off his mad trick skills, and shaking hands with my stoic boss. Salty brought a smile even to his grumpy face.

That's awesome! Parrots and pirates go so well together. Personally, my parrot obsession started when my Mom read me Treasure Island; I was 6. I have been unsuccessful in teaching Grace to say "Pieces of Eight" though.
