I got a cute little Avian Flight Suit for my 11 week old Parrotlet, Bumble. I cannot for the life of me even begin to figure out how to get it on. I followed the conditioning suggestions on the package for young birds (put it in their sight for 2-3 days, put it close up like on you during snuggle/playtime for 2-3 days, and then just plop your bird down with her feet in the shoulder straps and put it on). Those were the most useless set of suggestions ever written. I put it on the table during play time. I played peekaboo with it. I left in in my lap while we played/snuggled She wants to eat it. Badly. And when I plop her down she doesn't just stand there.

So then I found some videos on YouTube for putting your small bird into one, which included using some kind of hold where your hand is just under eyeballs but leaving wing exposed on one side. "Your bird can't bite you this way." I'm not getting that hold right, because she can definitely bite me. And I think she might even be too small - those "small" birds were

Last night I tried holding a nutraberry to keep her distracted and her beak occupied, but I don't have that many hands.

So does anyone who has successfully used these, especially on a small bird, have any ideas for me? Or do I give up and get the new xxxxxx-small size of aviator harness (I think I could have her putting her head in the loop in a few days with enough oatmeal). I really want to take her out for adventures, but I won't do it without a harness/leash of some kind. Thanks.
