My apartment complex is going to be doing exterior painting soon. Should I move Bumble, to another location, and for how long? Or is windows and doors shut enough?

With closed windows and doors it likely will not be a problem.

But!!! Check with either or both the Management Group and/or the painters to verify what paint they would be using and how they will be applying the paint. Tell them you have a Parrot and want to be notified when they will be painting near your apartment /Condo to assure the safety of your Parrot(s). Be kind and present yourself as a concerned owner.

Today, near all paints for this type of application will be water based, fast drying and very likely applied by spraying with very little excess spray.

Always double check! There are still dummies out there on both side doing it cheap and dirt!

Thank you. They notify us anyway because we have to move everything off of our patios, but asking them what type of paint is a good idea. And you're probably right about fast drying and sprayed - this is a very large apartment complex and you can never be sure of the weather in Seattle, so they'll need it applied and dried in a hurry.
