A Strange Disappointment

This is going to sound crazy, but I got all those pictures of the Quaker I was planning to buy... and now because I have to wait three weeks for my new cage I am going to get one of the green pallid babies he's still handfeeding. There was just this huge blast of disappointment. I am cool with it, of course!, but it's odd how QUICKLY you can become attached to a feathered friend simply from a dozen photos and belief you're going to be their parront! Anyone else ever experience photographic falling in love?:18:

I think you misunderstood my post. I'm not unsure at all! I've been planning to get a Quaker for awhile. The problem is just that the shipping of the cage I bought is taking longer than expected. I had planned to use an extra cage I have at my lake cabin, but I decided to get him a new home so I'll still have a cage at the lake not thinking it would take so long to get here. The breeder simply doesn't want to hold onto him three more weeks when he has green pallids that will be ready to go home right at that time I can take. I am just sad I won't be getting the boy I'd been sent pics of! I really don't mind though.

I fall in love all the time on this site.
I have a very active fantasy life about befriending/adopting/co-parronting the birds I "meet"!
So yeah, I throughly get what you mean!
