A green parakeet
Just like the title says, is there really any difference between maroon bellied conures and crimson bellied conures? If you've had any experience with either which do you prefer? And also for reference do you prefer green cheek conure, crimson bellied, maroon bellied, or jenday conures?

No experience with those species, but I'd go for a Pyrrhura over an Aratinga, given those choices. It would also vary depending on the bird.

Maroon bellieds are said to be very similar to green cheeks, where-as other species may be less nippy or perhaps less noisy.

I would say to go with the bird or species you are most drawn to. The bird you are drawn to may not be the species you choose.

Yes, they are different species. I have very little hands on experience with either but in my limited experience both have been very similar to green cheeked conures.

As for preference as stated above I’ll go for the gcc, mbc, and their cousins over the suns, jendays, etc any day. Noise level is completely different and I just personally prefer the temperaments, but that doesn’t mean you will feel the same.
