Do you guys know anywhere I can get affordable large cages? I have looked on Amazon, but a lot of them don't have enough ratings for me to trust them... I need to find a cage that is large enough for an african grey, and with a bar spacing no larger than 3/4" and no smaller than 1/2". I have been looking EVERYWHERE! :D Thank you

Well, try: birdcages4less.com

Bird Cages 4 Less has been our source for 30+ years and have always been more than happy with the quality and more importantly they always ship with the correct bits and parts.

We only target Full Height Access Door models and flat tops with the play top option. The Full Height Access Door makes life much more comfortable when accessing the cage interior.

Look at:
Extra Large Bird Cage - 48 W x 36 D x 76 Tall
Large Bird Cage - 40 W x 30 D x 75 Tall

How wide is important if you want to be able to move the cage around the home. Measure your door openings and keep them in mind as you shop.

Watch for Sales and consider their 'Toy Kits' by cage size. Good Prices for a starter kit. Also, strongly recommend you buy extra Seed and Water cups when you buy the cage. Saves the pain of looking for the correct size later.

The other place you should always take a look at are your local Craigslist pages, as there are usually tons and tons of large, pre-owned cages, a lot of them are actually brand-new. With large cages, it seems that people just want them out of their house taking up space, so you can usually get one for a fraction of what a new on will cost...Just always be sure to completely disinfect any pre-owned cage that you might buy, even if it looks like they just cleaned it...

I'd look on Ebay and on local Facebook selling pages. You can get some great secondhand cages that are in perfect condition for well under half the price they'd be new!

Also maybe look into getting something made just for you. I had an outside aviary 8'x6'x4' for around £370 including delivery, so I guess something smaller for inside would be even less.

I just noticed that I typed "wear" instead of "where"... whoops!
