I would love to buy an air fryer and possibly an instapot. Any out there that won't kill my conure?

Thanks,
Colleen

I don’t know about air dryers but I own an instapot.. haven’t used it yet though. I only purchased it after scouring multiple forums and looking for people who also use them to try to determine if it is safe, and I couldn’t find anything unsafe about it.

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
I recently read that even ceramic can give off some sort of harmful gas when it starts to get weaker over time...I will try to find that link...
Honestly....you probably will have to be the first to invent one lol.
I wish you luck, but I HIGHLY doubt that you will find one...remember, it isn't just the external parts that can be coated...anything internal that heats up is also a problem if it contains and PFOAs, PTFE or any heated Fluoropolymers(a class of chemicals related to those previously mentioned)..avoid fluoro anything

I have an Instant Pot and I use it all the time. Someone here called the company, and there is nothing unsafe. Don’t get a knock of though-some of them have nonstick pots. The Instant Pot brand has stainless steel. And it’s great for cooking brown rice for chop!!

not sure about inst pots but every air fryer I've seen is teflon coated. It would be nice to find one that is Teflon free but I don't know where you would find one

Many Chefs have debated for this topic whether Insta Pod or Air Fryer, I will say do prefer Air Fryer as they are much recommendable. To save yourself from the fire that might catch on the Fryer. You can do not expect oil to sear or cook the nourishment you put inside. It is quite protected and chops down your fat admission in the meantime.

The air fryer, as confused as it might appear, is basic by they way it works, making utilization of tourist and flame broil segments to empower you to cook scrumptious sustenance at home.

Since the machine warms up, it is very coherent to accept that the external body will get hot when you are cooking something.

The facts demonstrate that the air fryer has been intended to cook your sustenances utilizing outrageous warmth however not at the expense of representing a risk when it's being used.

Nonetheless, in the meantime, you are encouraged to avoid the machine while it's utilitarian as a preventive measure.

Where Insta pots catch the fire easily. Choose the Air Fryer according to your Budget, I have some suggestions for which you can may choose. Add more to this list

Ah, but the question is: are they bird safe?

Bit confused by this - we have this InstaPot.

No danger to our conures, it's used all the time, AFAIK. I'm tempted to make an off-color joke about putting one's fluff IN said pot being the only source of danger from such a thing..

EDIT: More info - our IP has a stainless steel interior (so nothing to off-gas) and the air fryer, being essentially a mini-convection oven is more bird-safe than your standard one, having a removable (and washable) interior basket with no-non-stick finish. Safer alternative to most ovens (especially the kind that have the self-cleaning feature which should never be used).

I tripped across this old post while researching air fryers. This has been a workhorse for me for many months (bought it at Target). I'm looking for a larger air fryer now. In any case, I have an Amazon and he's never shown distress. I have no reason to believe he's been bothered at all by this. It's a really good air fryer but it is set to one temperature (I think it's 390 degree) and sometimes a bit cramped.

Saw this one at Bed Bath & Beyond recently. Expensive but both pressure cooker and air fryer in one and specifically mentions stainless steel pot - PTFE & PFOA free. However I would probably still call them up to make certain there are no PTFEs or PFOAs elsewhere in the unit.

Those have intrigued me since I own an Instant Pot. But my cooking seems to fall neatly in one or the other.....instant pot or air fryer. I haven't used my oven in quite a long time.
