Hi everyone so im building a cage for my macaw. I was trying to figure out what to use for the vertical bars. I've thought about ss rods or wooden dowel rods. Yes I know birds chew but wooden dowels are cheaper to replace and thicker so I wouldnt have to use as many. Any who I found a place online that sells ramin dowel rods. Not sure if ramin wood is toxic to birds anyone know?
Ramin wood is it safe?

Unfortunately I can not find anything about Ramin wood being either safe or dangerous. Perhaps you could try to find some rods made out of one of these Wood / Trees / Bushes Considered Safe for Birds
