I was thinking about getting an Airfree T800 air purifier for my small room with the birds. It does not use ionizing at all. It uses thermodynamic technology and doesn't use replacement filters. It also reduces ozone by 26%. Is it safe for birds?

Thanks for checking before purchasing and your level of concern for your feathered friends.

Looked up the specs and honestly it looks strange.
No filters, no ozone, uses heat to kill germs yet only consumes 42W.
Small feathers and dander could be a problem if there is no pre-filter.

The heat is a red flag for me especially if there are any Teflon coated elements that could release toxic fumes and harm your birds.

Any others have any experience with this type of air filter or cleansing technology?

Be smart and contact the manufacturer and ask if there is Teflon/PTFE/PTFOA in the product. Explain you have parrots and explain it kills birds.

I would go for one that is promoted for birds and these are on the sites that sell parrot products. You will need removable filters tbh. Check the cost of those before buying as they will be a regular buy.
