My indian ringneck is wild and 5-6 months old(as the seller told me).I have bought it 3 days back when it is 5-6 months old. I have no idea about how to keep it.. i can't go near its cage to change water or give food. I have trimmed its wings. It screams and become aggressive when i go near it or try to get near to him by my hands... what should i do now ? How should i change food or water ? How can i tame it ? How to reduce its aggression?

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I have no experience with Ringnecks so can only offer generic advice! Do you have previous experience with parrots?

I assume you did not trim the wings? An important point as your Ringneck may associate you with an uncomfortable procedure and be less willing to bond.

There are many ways to earn trust and bond with a parrot. A few basics includes a generous sized cage, nutritious food, and 8 to 10 hours of sleep in a quiet area. Once the bird has basic needs and comforts, you can work to socialize and have the benefits of a cherished companion.

An excellent thread to begin: http://www.parrotforums.com/general-parrot-information/49144-tips-bonding-building-trust.html

One of the many challenges with a wild bird is you will never know the full history, what negative interactions it may have had with humans. Hopefully members with Ringneck experience will post with advice!

If you really can't put new food and water in the cage, and can't find anyone else to do it, you need to make him feel safe enough to leave the cage to get them. Leave the cage door open with food and water as close to it as possible, then leave him alone in the room and make no noise. Some species of parrot would die of starvation in a few days but take weeks to die of dehydration, the reverse of how it works in humans, so even if he drinks water but is too scared to eat for a whole day, that's not good enough, he must eat and drink every day.

Currently I have none, but I have the capacity to adopt a minimum and maximum of two budgies - preferably a bonded pair or two males.
Ringnecks are illegal in India

I would only cage him at night and have him on stands during the day, ringnecks are very known to be cage territorial so having him away from the cage as much as possible is a must and switching up perches and toys so that distracts him away from being aggressive.
Use a perch/stick to bring him out of the cage if it is a big issue so you can put fresh food and water in daily.

The wings don't need to be trimmed to tame a bird. May even make the process longer and more stressful since the bird is forced to stay in the same place and has no choice, and irns tend to be able fly anyway when they get spooked so it will just increase crashes and anxiety imo.

Your bird is at the perfect age for bluffing, this means he will attack, lunge and bite alot because he is soo young, so training with a target stick and trick training is a good way to get through it and still give your bird the attention they need. There's many training videos on youtube that can help you, type in specifically how to tame an indian ringneck and you should find one that helps as these are the problems people usually have with this species.

Don't approach the cage putting your fingers near or hand on the side of the cage because it just annoys them and makes them even more aggressive, trick training in the cage can help that too, especially if they're food motivated.

Diet is to be considered too as a bad diet can definitely play a role with an aggressive bird, make sure your feeding plenty of fresh vegetables everyday, abit of grains sometimes, sprouted seeds, fruit every few days and some good quality pellets like TOP'S pellets for small hook bills, make sure the vegetables are safe for your bird, check Google if your not 100% certain.
An all seed diet is sometimes what the breeder tells the owner to feed, but all seed diets can cause alot of problems, a diverse diet is important, not too much of any one thing.

Hope this helps, and may help new irn owners too!
They can be on the wild side but it can be worked through, I have a very cuddly, talkative irn called Eric which sounds exactly like your bird when I first got him so keep working through it!!:)
