I live just outside of Columbia, SC and getting ready to move. I need to find a place that would be willing to board my birds while the house is being shown. Where do people normally take their birds when they are in the process of selling their homes and have not purchased a new home yet.

Thanks

My husband and I are in the same boat. I don't trust boarding though, personally. Whenever we have a showing I put the boys in their carriers and drive down the street to a quiet, shady parking lot. There I sit for the hour or so (most common length) that the people are in my home. I take the boys out while I wait, we sit around just talking/cuddling/playing, I put them in their carriers to poop every 15 mins. So far it's gone very well. I'm working on harnes training them so I could walk around with them during these times.

I would NOT recommend leaving the birds in the home covered up. People would DEFINITELY scare your boys, especially if they have children with them who mean well but don't know any better.
