Re: Daniels Birds or Daniels lovely birds

Their website has a lot of red flags.

950 flat with free shipping for their African greys, Amazons and Cockatoos that includes shipping.

These birds would be about $1000 more in normal breeder operations.

Also they offer free shipping with the birds and encourage purchasing multiple birds to make it free shipping. A breeder that cares for their birds would not encourage you to get more than one at a time , they would care more about the happiness of their bird than the profit of selling several to one person.

They mention 'worldwide' shipping, but shipping birds of any kind in or out of the US is against the law.

Run, don't walk away from this 'breeder'.

I agree with that assesment. Where are you located and what sort of bird are you looking for?

I agree that shipping costs is a bad reason, but some breeders refuse to ever sell a parrot that will be kept alone, either because it's against the law in their country for welfare reasons or because they personally believe in the same welfare reasons. I have the impression this is an extremely rare belief in the USA and UK except for lovebirds, but if the OP is in Switzerland, for example, he/she will be legally compelled to get at least two parrots of the same species or no parrot all, and I've had arguments online with people from other European countries where even if not illegal, buying any species of parrot single is passionately controversial subject.

Re: Daniels Birds or Daniels lovely birds

Looking at the site, I believe shipping is extra! It says, 950 including shipping! Not includes!

I think that is another way of saying the same thing.
