How often do I or should I clip my Senegal's wings to inhibit flight? I just got him a week ago and the previous owner had his wings clipped not to long ago. But how often should it be done so that I have an idea of when I should be looking to get them done again and not wait until he flys out the door.

I have read a few articles about how to wing clip that scared the hell out of me. So I think rather than risk it, I'll see if I have a Vet in my area that can do it.

Any info would be greatly appreciative.

I leave the wing clipping to my avain vet as part of an annual exam. The wings need to be clipped after a molt when they will slowly grow back. The most process takes several months so you will not have to be concerned about this for a while.
