Is DampRid safe to use in the same room as birds? We have a window that gets mold once in a while. I have sealed everything I could near this window. Whenever the mold starts to show up, I clean it with a vinegar solution followed up by a baking soda solution followed up by another vinegar solution. I thought about putting a couple of DampRid cans in the window sill to remove some of the moisture from accumulating.

You likely have a high Humidity issue in that room and no storm window on the outside of the window.

Find, your source of Humidity and reduce it. If you are unsure look at a dehumidifier. But, your problem is likely a window without a storm window.

DampRid is commonly used in storage areas like closets and basements, and rarely in open areas. The chemicals themselves are not safe for contact. But as long as they are kept in their container, there is no off-gassing as the technology draws moisture /air to it.

Take great care in following directions and dispose of properly.

NOT if there is any chance that they would ever ingest it. That having been said I have used it in the room next to my bird.
