2 Green Cheek Conures
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, as well as green cheek conure ownership. I recently purchased 2 Green Cheek Conures, Skittles(3 Month Old) and Kiwi(Just under a year) I have had them for three days now.

Skittles, the young one, started getting on top of Kiwi and rubbing, like he is mating with them. He is becoming more aggressive as far as biting my hand and now he is beginning to go after Kiwi some as well.

The lady I got them from hand raised Skittles and he has been with Kiwi his whole life. Why all of a sudden would he begin this? Is their cage too small? I let them out of their cage and he will go out of his way to pester Kiwi and tried to aggressively bite him while they were out and he had plenty of room to fly. Kiwi forgives him and the next second, they are grooming each other and eating with each other.

From what I am reading, Skittles would be too young to be going through his hormonal phase, or can they go through that at a younger age? He is only 3 months old. Is this a dominance thing? Should I seperate them? Thanks for any help or suggestions. I did not see a thread like this, but if there is one, please link it here. I really don't want to seperate them, but I don't want Kiwi to get hurt either.

Kiwi is more dependant on Skittles being with him while Skittles is super happy to be anywhere, I would just worry about Kiwi getting depressed from separating them. Thank you for reading and I am looking forward to hearing from anyone.
