juniper, sun conure
hi, i'm new here. my 8 month sun conure, that i got a couple months ago, does this strange behavior i haven't heard of. she doesn't do it a lot but sometimes she'll latch her beak onto my finger or nail and start shaking up and down vigorously. she doesn't do that with anyone else in my family. can someone tell me what that means or if it's bad? thank you :)

Sunny the Sun Conure (sept '18, gotcha 3/'19). Mr Jefferson Budgie & Mrs Calliope Budgie (albino) (nov'18 & jan'19). Summer 2021 Baby Budgies: Riker (Green); Patchouli, Keye, & Tiny (blue greywings).
Its something sun conures do. Mine will sometimes latch my finger and do it, she does it somewhat less now than she used to -- but if she doesn't have a finger she might shake something else.

The sun conure below is Not mine -- but it's the exact behavior, only, well, this one has chosen to shake a cup, and is Not tightly attached to a perch or shoulder whilst engaging the beak-motor...

From your first post I would have said your bird was regurgitating to your finger.

Looking at the video.... I don’t have a clue.

I will say my yellow nape did nearly the same thing with an old pill bottle.
I have had him for more than 35 years and never saw him do that before.
