I'm just on petfinder.com and I think it's a great little thing. I'm just going through all the birds that are 'special needs' and I'm getting angsty that there seems to be nothing like this in the UK :(.

Guess I need to keep playing the lottery and see if I win so I can create a big sanctuary, no? > : (

Sprite the cinnamon green cheek conure.
That'd be awesome to have a bird shelter.
Yesterday my mom took me to one.
They had tons of birds! A lot of them were plucked, but their feathers were growing back. One green wing had been there for almost 20 years :( There was a pair of GCC's but they had to go together so we couldnt get one. We looked into getting a nanday there, but he preffered men. I've decided to get my bird from a breeder and I've finally chosen my breeder! My mom is going to request/make a deposit on my new baby on Monday. I CANT WAIT OMG!

edit: The macaw in my pro pic was one at the sanctuary. When you told her she was pretty, she blushed!!! There was also a macaw that calls his care taker Bob xD

none yet. have owned avians in the past
me and the hubby already agreed if we win the lotto then we are buying 200 acres of land and opening an animal sanctuary/rescue.

more geared towards exotics, birds, and horses.

Once i am working again i am taking my wildlife rehabbers course on a weekend just so i can get my license and keep it up to date. its not that long of a course and its on weekends and has allot of hands on work.

NOW i just need to find money LOL come on lucky numbers!

Unfortunately, our shelters are way too crowded and we need more of them.
