Hello all!

Right, not sure if this is allowed here, so please delete/lock etc if I'm doing things wrong.

Basically, I've just started working/volunteering at my local RSPCA. Unfortunately the birds there are really under stimulated to the point that I'd consider filing some form of complaint but I figured, hey, I'll just fix it myself.

The budgies (cockatiels/finches etc) have around 2 swing perches and maybe one or two toys. When I get paid (bare in mind I only work part time and have a household to run too!) I'm intending to buy them some nice new things (Product) this is what I had in mind. Annnnyyyyway, I've asked on Scarlett's Parrot Essentials facebook page that if anyone wants to chip in/order some toys to be delivered to me (and I can bring them with me to the RSPCA) or to the RSPCA directly, then that'd be super awesome.

So I'm asking you lot too. These poor guys look pretty shoddy at the moment and although there is 7 of them (I think!) and they're keeping each other company and whatnot, they just arn't getting enough in my opinion!

Their toys have to be hung from empty dish hangers because the roof doesn't have anywhere for toys to be hung, so I'll probably look into getting perches with the links at the end so I can hang toys off of that too.

ANYWAY!

If you want to help out and whatnot, you can place an order for small birdy items (no large kept at the RSPCA) and pay Scarlett through paypal.

Scarletts Parrot Essentials - Toys, Cages, Stands and More!

If you do that, please let me know what you've ordered, or leave a note on the paypal to Scarlett saying it's for the RSPCA Warrington. (You can also email her ([email protected]) saying what you've ordered and where you want it to go to etc, but still pay through paypal as that's safe :) Just let her know that you're doing this via Cat G or something, so she's not super confused that a ton of Americans/NZ etc are sending things around the UK. :p

(RSPCA, Slutchers Lane, Warrington, Cheshire, England, WA1 1NA) is the RSPCA's address or you can pm me for my personal address and I can bring them to work with me and letting them know it's from X with love ;)

If you're not interested, then feel free to ignore this. But I'm pretty passionate about improving these birdies lives and since I'll only be getting around Β£120 for me to spend on all my lot and I'm visiting fam early oct (day I get paid!) I can't afford to blow all my money myself. So if you guys have a few dollars/whatever spare, then feel free to place and order. :3

I WILL NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH YOUR MONEY, IT WILL GO STRAIGHT TO THE STORE WHICH WILL MEAN THE THE BIRDIES AT THE RSPCA WILL GET LOTS OF NEW TOYS AND ACTIVITES.

OH! I should probably mention that the RSPCA is the UK's number one animal charity. The letters stand for The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Whoops!

Mayden: for budggies the best toys are home made ones popsicles sticks and strung popcorn uncooked macaroni on a string most anything a first grader or Kindergardner makes will suffice.

Unfortunately I'm as un-creative as they come. I've spoke to Scarlett who I'll be buying the toys from and she's recommending some things. I'll probably just get a few of the same toys my lot have. So many bills coming out this month though, eek!
