For some reasons, my YNA also will lunge at my younger girl whenever she comes near. They can feel the energy level in us and reacts accordingly.

I am using this. Versele-Laga Ideal Bath Salt for Pigeons. 2 weeks already and my boy Zoro stopped chewing his tail feathers and his plumage exhibits a more brilliant green. He also enjoyed his bath...

There are some nice bath salts that can help get rid of mites and condition the skin/feathers at the same time. I would try them before going to the vet especially if I have funds constraints. Cheers!

To check for mites, I personally use magnifying glass 4X and scan the body and cages. Otherwise, if you just want to be safe, use Avian insecticide will wipe them out with the correct dosage and...

Haha! I feel you!!! I was walking past the pet shop during lunch 2 weeks ago and ended up with a juvenile YNA and taking urgent half day leave to set up my home...My PA nearly fainted after learning...
