Re: Love bird pair not getting along, help

As stated above, get them DNA tested. If they are both males. You can think about putting them together. If they are both females, then maybe, but females have been known to kill each other when...

Re: Love bird pair not getting along, help

Glad you are separating them. You can leave the cages side by side so they can get use to them but I would advised against ever putting them together if they are really male and female. They are...

Re: Tootsie Grown Up

With your last pic, I would say more of a turquoise violet. But I'm no expert. My Loki I believe to be a violet turquoise. She also is a little oddball with random specs of color everywhere....

Re: What to do if lovebird is going to lay eggs?

If the egg has been laid, let her lay on until she loses interest. I'd toss them after 3 weeks if they start to look rotten

Re: Welcome Home Loki

She is doing quite well now. She will only step up for me sometimes now. She will fly over me tonight for cuddles, but she is being more stubborn about other people holding her.

Re: Is this cage ok?

Seems very small for 2, maybe the size for one(bare minimum) I have a small flight cage for just 1 lovie.

Re: Just got a young Lovebird, could use guidance!

Re: The girl I'm dating is bringing her 2 Sun Conures over

I would see how they are when they first see you. If they seem calm, be sure to include them with whatever you two are doing. I would maybe try to project an positive excited vibe like you are...

Re: Color change?

My 2 cents is that Quincy is a Sun conure, but its too early to tell. Basing it off the red between the eye and the beak and also the specs of yellow on the wings. Does he also have yellow on the tip...

Re: urgent help! 1 bird breaking others beak

Just know crossbreeding lovebirds is not advised. Peach-faced with an eyering(looks like a black masked) can create health issues with the hybrid baby and the babies most likely will be unable to...
