Re: Cargo net idea stolen from Getwozzy ;)

Yes that explains the "slick" look. Why was this type of rope chosen? I want something easy to clean and very durable. I understand the reason for the cotton. I have seen homemade atoms made of rope...

Re: Cargo net idea stolen from Getwozzy ;)

I used ordinary 100% cotton rope.[/QUOTE]

Re: Cargo net idea stolen from Getwozzy ;)

That is awesome! What kind of rope did you use? I have been wanting to make one myself but the idea of using 100 percent cotton rope is not my choice of material.

Re: quarantine and introducing him to the family

When I had my new amazon checked by a vet within 7 days of bringing him home, he was given a clean bill of health. I asked if I could put him in the same room as my macaw even though the quarantine...

Re: Think these are safe?

I agree with Boysmom. I do not purchase anything from China that comes in contact with food. Their quality control is nothing like the standards of the USA. I even try not to purchase produce from...

Brittani came for advice to keep her bird from spazzing out and injuring itself. How can one do that if we do not know all the details? Going through previous posts gives some insight as to what is...

Re: SS or Ceramic

I have a set of SS Cusinart cookware which I have used for 30+ years and prefer them over nonstick because I like to cook on higher temps when needed for pasta or vegetables. You cannot use high heat...

Re: Very scared of new people. What can I do???

In another post of yours, it was mentioned this bird would be quarantined for 30 days in your bedroom. This would have been an excellent place for the bird to get acquainted with the noises of the...

How active is your fid? Many people have cages mainly for sleeping because their birds are loose all day and playing elsewhere. The rule most people follow when it comes to cages is the bigger, the...

Re: Cage?

I think the cage looks fine. Just don't over load it with toys and you are good to go. I have a 40"x30"x60" cage for my YN and it's way too big for him because he is literally a couch potato. I...

Re: Poo Question

I think you are fine. If you would like to post up pictures, I am sure people will be better able to give you an answer. Fruit has lots of water which will make the stool watery as well.

Re: a few more questions.

Pelleted food is the most expensive at a small mom and pop pet store. I found the best prices by buying in bulk at a bird fair. A 20-pound or more bag will last six months or more depending on the...
