Re: Question on causes of yeast infection in parrots?

Too many surgery foods such as dried fruit or fresh fruit, rice and bread. Ollie had a yeast infection once because he had too many of these items in his diet...once I reduced them he was fine.

Re: Wing flapping

Finley does this when he is mad at me. He goes to the bottom of his cage and broods and flaps his wings. It's funny. Lol.

Re: Bird Puberty

My Sun Conure Ollie is cranky and has a lot of in feathers and yells at me when I give him pets. He never bites me but I'd think something similar is happening with you. Ollie is 3 and we'll into...

Re: never eat skittles candies near a conure....

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to my husband and Ollie with a coffee bean. Thank goodness he didn't bite into it or we'd be going to the ER.

Re: Hello All I need help with my 2.5 year Sun Conure!!

What have you tried doing to tame your sun conure? Just wondering what "tried everything" means. Perhaps I can offer help if I know what you have already tried.

Re: potty-training-your-bird-72-hours..DOES IT WORK?

I potty trained my 4 conures in 24 hours. Yes it works but you HAVE to be consistent. They rarely have accidents at all...I get pooped on maybe once or twice in 6 months when someone is distracted or...

Re: Daily Shower Ritual with 4 Conures(pics)

No. Finley is my Nanday and he has a history or weirdness so I'm not surprised. Also... he's the stinkiest one out of the lot of them too...by shower time he has a slight tinge of sourness to him....

Re: Green cheek loosing feathers overnight...help

Oh no! That sounds like plucking to me because birds don't molt that many feathers at once ever unless there was trauma in that area. Just because you don't see him doing it doesn't mean he isn't...

Re: The squawking continues....

Your bird is just contact calling you because you're out of their line of sight. It's extremely common and not an easy thing for them to stop doing because it's an instinct. She's calling you back to...
