Re: Bird Puberty

My Sun Conure Ollie is cranky and has a lot of in feathers and yells at me when I give him pets. He never bites me but I'd think something similar is happening with you. Ollie is 3 and we'll into...

Re: never eat skittles candies near a conure....

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to my husband and Ollie with a coffee bean. Thank goodness he didn't bite into it or we'd be going to the ER.

Re: Hello All I need help with my 2.5 year Sun Conure!!

What have you tried doing to tame your sun conure? Just wondering what "tried everything" means. Perhaps I can offer help if I know what you have already tried.

Re: Is the badness coming?

My Sun Conure Ollie is 3 and my Nanday conure, Finley is 2 and so far they have shown zero aggressiveness towards me or my husband. With some birds puberty is a serious issue but I believe it's...

Re: potty-training-your-bird-72-hours..DOES IT WORK?

I potty trained my 4 conures in 24 hours. Yes it works but you HAVE to be consistent. They rarely have accidents at all...I get pooped on maybe once or twice in 6 months when someone is distracted or...

Re: Daily Shower Ritual with 4 Conures(pics)

No. Finley is my Nanday and he has a history or weirdness so I'm not surprised. Also... he's the stinkiest one out of the lot of them too...by shower time he has a slight tinge of sourness to him....

Re: Green cheek loosing feathers overnight...help

Oh no! That sounds like plucking to me because birds don't molt that many feathers at once ever unless there was trauma in that area. Just because you don't see him doing it doesn't mean he isn't...

I voted 90/10. (By the way I wonder if the person who voted 10/90 made a mistake WTH)
Anyways, my birds are REALLY good birds. I mean seriously really really good birds. They're very quiet most of...

Re: Cockatiel doesn’t like my hand

Was she a hand fed or parent raised cockatiel? Depending on which way she was raised there are different ways you handle taming.

Re: The squawking continues....

Your bird is just contact calling you because you're out of their line of sight. It's extremely common and not an easy thing for them to stop doing because it's an instinct. She's calling you back to...

Re: What are some of the cute things your birds do?

Oh yes Ollie says everything very clearly. His facial expressions and the few sounds he makes say it all. He's a man of few words but he chooses them wisely.
