Re: Update on Gina and Quinn

Quinn is a hoot! I love the way she 'struts' across the arm of the chair. She's convinced she can't walk without getting her head involved in the activity. Reminds me of these little quails we have...

I know! She's like a squeaky toy how she does it! I laugh every time.

Re: Update on Gina and Quinn

You do remember that I got Quinn for my daughter? She tolerates her but she's not handing over kisses or playing peek a boo with anyone but me!

Re: Update on Gina and Quinn

It's been a rough year but I think most of the stress is behind me. Getting my son through heart surgery was tough.

Quinn has given me a lot of laughs though!

Re: Sleep cage?

I understand what you're saying but after all this time of sleeping 'free' I feel like suddenly locking her in a cage wouldn't be a good idea.

She doesn't necessarily want to be IN the bed. She's...

Re: Sleep cage?

She's not a traveler. This is why I never have to worry about closing her primary cage door. I do have her travel carrier (which is an airline cat carrier) and a fold up wire cage but I think if I...

Sleep cage?

Quinn has become extremely attached to me.

She isn't destructive so I never close her cage door. In fact, if I do, she'll throw a tantrum. Closing the door for 30 minutes is how we let her know...

Update on Gina and Quinn

It's been a while. I know some of you have been wondering what the latest is.

Quinn thinks I'm her mate. I tried to explain that I just don't swing that way with this inter-species breeding thing...

Re: Z found his flock!

oh don't worry.. he's still got 10 days to remove my vital organs. If he's aware of this, I'm sure he'll consider it a challenge. I do want to have his cage squeaky clean for his new family and a...

Oh... don't get me wrong Pinky.... There's ALWAYS entertainment around here.

You forget I have Quinn the CAG now. Her favorite line has become "What the hell?!" which was promptly repeated...

Z found his flock!

After months of interviewing and declining prospective homes for the little green demon, he's finally found his people!

It's no secret that my little zonzilla wants to remove my liver. In fact, ...

Re: Presents for your fids?

Blue wouldn't waste any time unwrapping a present. In fact, she'd probably start before I put it down in her cage.

Quinn would probably drop all her feathers in fear that she's been invaded. It...

Re: Oh my goodness! Gifts at the door!!

Gary.

I'm the one who put together and organized the gift exchange. It's not really something that was endorsed by the forum but rather done privately. Since this one was so successful and so...

Re: Oh my goodness! Gifts at the door!!

I figured it out when I got back home and saw it laying there. I was going to pm you, but I figured it would be more fun to see if you figured it out on your own :D

I felt bad that I was a little...

Re: Oh my goodness! Gifts at the door!!

I sent them :D
In fact, the card that was supposed to go in the box is sitting on my desk. Oops!

The foraging ball is modified. It came as just a plain ball but I added the chain and a fun bell...

Re: I must be insane

The first one will be easy. "What dog? There's a DOG?! I seriously don't know what you're talking about! You've been working way too much. I think you need some time off."

It's the other 5 to make...

Re: I must be insane

I've been talking to 3 different breeders to gain knowledge and see if I can find a dog that's a good fit for me. For the moment I'm thinking of a retired show dog that's pointed in obedience. This...

Re: CAG or Macaw

This is true. They are. Not nearly as bad as a 'too though.

However, I take a wet washcloth and just wipe Quinn down every day and that helps keep it under control. I also have an air cleaner...

Re: CAG or Macaw

I have both.
Apple and oranges for sure.

CAG's need more intellectual stimulation to keep them happy. Foraging toys, scheduled training times, and vocal interaction. They're happy to just hang...

Re: Z's nare is blocked

I moved him into a sleep cage in my room just in case and put a humidifier on the floor next to his cage. I need to keep an eye on him. We don't get along but I don't want to see anything happen to...
