Help with DIY Cage Cover

Hi all! Long time no talk!

I need to make a cover for Aleta's travel cage. The blanket I've been using lets in too much light, and she is up really early waking up our hosts! We won't get many...

Re: Sleeping habits of gcc.

Aleta has two tents. One she loves and one I can't even convince her to go near it, even if I put treats in there. I don't think either is not normal. Depends on the bird. I made a fleece covered...

Re: Fry's new look

The cuttlebone had a pink mineral block surrounding it. And yes, Fry just went to town on it. Nothing but a small piece left. I have a yellow version of the same thing. Perhaps I should switch it out...

Re: Fry's new look

Yay! Glad the picture worked!
At first I thought it was a reflection off a shiny toy in his cage. My second thought when he moved and I realized it was actually on his face, was to check that...

Fry's new look

I've heard of a peach faced love bird, but never a hot-pink faced budgie. This is how I found Fry when I got home from work today. (sorry for the poor cellphone quality pics) It seems he has taken a...

Re: What are some down side of owning green cheek conure or love bird??

I have budgies and a green cheek conure.

You are spot on about the budgies, but there are a bunch of similarities, I've noticed. I can only tell you about my bird, as I don't really know any...

Re: New Phones and Justice

LOL that is too funny Terry! Aleta likes to imitate the beeping on my washer, oven, microwave, and they keyless entry to the door. I never know which appliance is really making the noise!

Re: Middle of the night call

Was it a blocked number, or were you able to get the number? If you search for the no call list, on the gov't website there is a place to report scams etc, but you need to have the phone number to...

Re: Middle of the night call

How frightening!! I'd have been awake for hours too. Worst he knew your whole name! That's super creepy. Do you have your number on the "no call list"? Maybe that would help.

Re: Fids Favorite Veggies?!

Lol. Perhaps I will include those on my list to try.
We don't eat a lot of variety of veg in my house - or rather I would, but the BF wont touch it, so I only buy what he will eat too. ;) So...

Thanks for that idea too Kiwibird! Perhaps I'll do a veg shop and get a bunch of veg again this weekend and try it.

Re: Fids Favorite Veggies?!

Thanks Terry! I didn't know they had some there. The skewers were on my "to buy" list for my next online purchase. Perhaps I will swing by on my lunch break and get one. :)

Fids Favorite Veggies?!

Lately Aleta has been turning her nose up at any veg I give her. Doesn't matter the cut, cooked or raw etc. She will eat corn and pepper seeds, but that is it. She eats her pellets and fruit, so I'm...

Re: Anyone need a new alarm clock?!

Yes. And that is the reason why her cage is downstairs. Heaven forbid you sleep in - there will be alarms going off all over the place. :D

Anyone need a new alarm clock?!

Aleta has decided she is going to moonlight as an alarm clock. Last night Chris was napping before going to work on a night shift. At 9 on the nose, Aleta stopped what she was doing, climbed to the...
