Maibock was rehomed. I couldn't handle the constant need to fight with other birds anymore.

Soft dog bed and then you cover it with newspaper easy peasy xD

Nothing wrong with frozen whole animals.
In fact itcan be healthier to feed whole animals sometimes; giving them some of the vitamins that may be lacking in the regular pet diet.

Have you thought about converting that closet into a space you can enclose him in? That would probably work as well as a cage and any house you move into could just as easily have the same thing...

Many people use dog crates for sleep cages.
I bet with a nice stand and a nicely sized one you won't have all that much issue with size.

I'd say one for a medium sized dog, the all metal ones....

Use coconut oil to grease the pan.

Forget the paper; instead cut up strips of wax paper 'called tabs' and place then UNDER the muffins.

Then you can easily pop them out!
