Re: Harrison's?

The green pepper probably would have been fine if it wasn't too hot (temperature, not spicyness). Mine love a little piece of pizza crust with some sauce on it. I don't worry excessively about them...

Pete is Pet of the Day

I'm so proud of him. He just woke up a little bit ago, so I haven't showed him the website yet. I can't wait to see his reaction!

Pet of the Day - Every day a new pet photo and story...

Re: Sun Conure attack help!

My friends kind of get a kick out of her trying to steal their husbands:) And of course it makes the guys feel good when I tell them my bird thinks you are good looking and she is flirting with you....

Re: Stunted Puppy Growth

Hopefully you got him soon enough that you prevented the malnutrition from affecting him badly in later life. I'm sure you saved his life, and will be rewarded with a wonderful companion.

Re: Please help me out!

Well, don't laugh, but I always said, "I'm not an amazon person." Everything I read kind of scared me off. And every amazon I met in person would instantly display as soon as I looked at it, and I...

Re: Aggression or curiousity? how to introduce parrots?

Yes, I'm getting one bird out for like an hour, then the next, then the next. And then we start all over again. I sure hope in time at least 2 become friends and don't insist on being on me all the...

Re: Stunted Puppy Growth

If he really does have Mastiff in him (which I'm not seeing either), he may grow for another year yet. He is very cute though and looks healthy now.

It is hard to go by what they look like as...

Re: Expect The Unexpected !!!

Ohh, Merlin hates it! But, she forgives me right away. But, the first time I did it, she was afraid of my right hand for a week. My left hand was still good, and so was the rest of me apparently,...

Re: Well, I got some news today that I'm a bit apprehensive about............

Well, here's a plan, Mike!

I've now decided someone must video tape Merlin and I. She makes the oddest sounds that probably sound like someone about to die, and I imitate them back. You will all...

Re: Newly adpoted Congo

I've had both experiences now. Merlin seemed to just like me immediately and didn't seem to need much adjustment either to her new cage or home. But, she may have seen me as her savior from the...

Re: Expect The Unexpected !!!

They showed me to hold her at an angle with her head pointed down, and then once it's in to hold her more vertical. I've been having to do it about once a week. In fact I should do it again...

Re: Amigo on high alert, giving the coyotes HELL!

I don't have a dog anymore, but I guess I also don't have animals anymore that the coyotes stalk. No more goats or outdoor cats. And only one has come real close to the house. In fact I ran into...

Re: Owning a cockatoo

Be careful though because many 'Toos can still fly after a wing clip. HISS427s was clipped by the rescue before being shipped to him, flew over his house and up into a big tree:eek: I've read that...

Re: Hello all

Welcome to the forum!

Kawie seems to have a nice cage, but he would really like some natural wood perches instead of the dowels:)

Lots of experienced Grey owners here though to help. I've only...

Re: Expect The Unexpected !!!

I have to do sinus flushes on my Grey as well due to her dust. It's not that hard to do yourself, but it's much easier with 2 people.

Yes, my Grey has cost since January enough in vet bills that...

I'm glad you found one who is such a sweetie. I always read they were nippy or I'd have gotten one, too. They are gorgeous!

Re: Aggression or curiousity? how to introduce parrots?

So far, yes. And it occupies huge amounts of time that way. I can also do stuff like put Pete on his tower and play with Merlin, but then he is sitting there moaning and groaning and looking...

Re: Sun Conure attack help!

I believe this is due to hormones.

My female conure doesn't actually attack women but she sure flirts like crazy with almost all men.

Re: How Did Your Bird Celebrate Easter?

Beautiful photos with Erin.

Well, we had a big party since it was also Rowdy's hatch day, and we also celebrated the kitty's birthday as well:) It was an unconventional Easter as we all pigged...

Re: Rate your companion Bird bite!

If it isn't actually my bird, I'm not going to trust it:D I will not get close to them in the pet store anymore. I don't want to have to shop with the darn thing because it's going to bite me if it...

Re: Aggression or curiousity? how to introduce parrots?

Oh, this can be a tough one, especially if you are in between their beaks.

Paco might be jealous. I wouldn't assume he's not.

I'm having trouble here getting mine introduced. A couple of...
