Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Oke, just using a common prejudice here, but really...

Sunny just managed to chew right through the branch she was sitting on! :eek:

She fell just a little distance when it gave way and grabbed the bars in time, but she is now hanging from the cage-ceiling being totally shocked about it...

I am a bad person: I laughed, it was so stupid! Never thought she would make that particulair mistake.

Never underestimate the smart AND the stupid of your birds! :58:

We had a budgie did that once, Jasper the budgie. Smart girl otherwise but spent weeks chewing through a perch and then was totally surprised when she jumped onto it and fell straight through. She was ok but we did have to laugh!
I imagine the crash is much louder when a macaw does it! Glad she’s ok!

Some Parrots have all the fun and surprises! They are doing this just so we can save them, so very kind, so very kind of them. :D

My old YCA George did that once. At first, after he landed at the bottom of his cage, he looked perplexed, as though thinking "Huh?? How did that happen?" Then he started laughing, picked up the remains of the perch and flung it aside. :D
