Hi everyone,

I am a new bird owner and I bought a 3 month old lover bird yesterday. I got her home and she is very quiet and not moving, and I understand that can happen since she is new to her new home without her other siblings around. But she sleeps a lot and it is starting to worry me a little. She ate some and drank some water, but she is sitting on there perch with eyes closed. I'm starting to wonder if she is sick? There are times where it looks like she is tail bobbing, but I am not too sure. I attached three videos below. Any insight/suggestion would help!! thank you! The files won't attach so I had to to upload to google.

The files won’t open. If you have a YouTube account, you can upload them there and attach them here. I don’t have any knowledge about sock birds, but someone will be along shortly who does and those videos may be helpful.

only managed to look at the first video

it does look a little bit like tail pumping, this is often a sign of illness BUT it can also be a sign of stress. I would book an appointment with the vet and I would also inform the store/breeder that you have noticed something within the first few days. If it turns out they are sick I would talk to where you got them from about them paying for any medication needed. Not 100% sure of the laws of selling animals in the US (where I assume you to be) but over here an animal found to be ill from the breeder it is the breeder's responsibility to pay for the care
