Today in art class Meisha sculptured a pinecone into a fluffy-cone as a insert for her shadow box.
She machined the leaves, known as scales, down to umbo filaments.

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
May as well have stamped "u2 was here" on it instead haha! That's cute. I am always amazed at how they can whittle things down-- Noodles likes to make what I lovingly refer to as "shivs" (she then uses them to attempt to escape and sit on her cage top proudly lol). No more of those shenanigans since I made her cage escape-proof...I THINK...WAIT....forget I said that...jinxing myself..
She still makes the shivs (btw) lol

The joy of Art is truly in the eye's of the beholder. That is until the Art is created by a beloved Parrot. Then it is Art for the Masses! Or, better stated, those who fear the beak!

It's amazing what you can stick in those shadow boxes.
