This is the most comprehensive "lost & found" for birds. You'll have to sign up for a yahoo account if you don't have one, but that is free and easy (just a few minutes of clicking); then you can post a listing there for the found bird.
Once again, thank you. The sad thing is that my husband and I have been looking for the owner but it doesn't seem the owner is looking for his/her bird... I know if it were one of my babies, I have flyers all over, I'd post on every site I could find on the net, etc. Pretty soon we are going to have to find her a new home....
I've recently launched a new parrot reporting and alerting site called parrotalert.com
It's a self contained geographically driven with over 1500+ members globally
over the past couple of months since launch. I'm still adding and improving
functionality.
I've had 77 reports over the last couple of weeks from around the world.
It's more than just a lost and found, it has a support network we can alert
based on their geographical location.
There are birds on there looking for their homes (found) and owners looking
for their birds (lost) reported on there.
It's a free service and i hope it can help make the world a smaller place to
lose a bird in and i hope you find it useful.
If you can, check your area for all reported birds, it's map driven and
accurate to within a metre of a location.
I am sorry to here about your sun conure I am sorry to say this but this thread is from 2009. I hope you find him though. I don't know what I would do if I lost either of my birds. Do you mind me asking how he got away?
