POTM Suggestion

There was a photo contest on a goat group I'm on a few years ago and they had all of the pictures in a gallery and under each pic was the user name and a vote button. Any way that would be possible here? Everyone's entries on one page with the option to vote would be easier than scrolling through 6 pages and then trying to remember what the user name was who's pic you wanted to vote for. Or is this just me? Just an idea.......

Do you happen to know what the forum was run by? This one is operated by VBulletin, and I'm honestly not sure whether this can be done or not without some massive amount of work by our Administrators.

Personally i like the interactiveness of the way we do it. I do understand about scrolling though all the pages trying to make a choice. I also know how swamped the Moderation Group is with all their duties. maybe someone responsible could arrange the photos themselves and start a poll. i would think it's possible to "copy/paste" the photos into a new thread with a poll.

It's a yahoo group and the owner has a website and she had the contest on there. Impossible here? Not sure how half of this stuff is done!

I have no idea if it's possible. We (the mods) don't ever tinker with VBulletin. I will run it by Admin to get an opinion/input.

A while back someone had suggested to keep 'small talk' out of the POTM contest, and that will NOT be implemented as we thoroughly enjoy the interaction that goes on there.

Additionally, of course it IS possible to create a poll with all the photos in that thread, including the member's names by the photo. However, in order to do this, a moderator would have to use his/her personal Photobucket account/space to upload each and every photo individually, and that's a tad bit unreasonable.

Sure Wendy, I understand! I'd miss the small talk too, just thought voting would be easier in a gallery setting.

Melissa, sorry that it only took over a month to get back to you on this. JUST figured out a way to make this happen! And without having to use any Photobucket space!
