I love this forum too! It's so great! You guys are like my "bird crazy" family. Also agree with Beilana: the only people who love to talk about birds all day!

Isn't it odd that one can get so close to people one has never met? I used to think that people who said that were crazy.

Nice to get this fantastic feedback. When I was off line a few days it was like withdrawal. It is peaceful and stress lowering to tune in here and chat with eachother. Thanks all.

I have to agree as well with the feeling of closeness among many of us here now, I've been looking through a lot of the older posts and unfortunatly it seems many, (even some as recent as the first of the year) are no longer active, I'm sure many more will come and go as the time goes by, so I guess we should enjoy one another while we're still here, I really do wish that a chat room(s) could be added to the forum site, I think it would add the interaction factor that would maybe hold more folks here

I think it's the way with forums that this is often the case, people's lives change for whatever reason or they have a bit of a fall-out with another member and they stay away. Who knows for what reason people are absent but this forum is far from unique in this way and it happens to all the others too. The forum is still here for those who wish to return when they are ready though.

This is a really good point! If you look at my profile you'll see that I've actually been a member since last year. I stopped visiting, however, a few days after joining because it was so inactive! There just seemed to be no activity. But when I came back earlier this year with a question, I was surprised how much it picked up! I hope everyone does stick around, and maybe we can get more recruits! :D

So true, Beilana. Nobody else is ever interested in talking about birds as often as I am.

I have to agree with everyone. This is a fabulous forum. All of the members here are so knowledgeable and helpful; I never would have been able to find this kind of help anywhere else.

:D This forum is much like coffee, so addictive you just want more and more
Find yourself going on "quickly" just to "look", then you reply to a post then another and another and it never stops.
I am so fortunate to be a part of this fantastic forum, for just over a year now.
My laptop is on from 5am, to "check in" I work from home, spend about an hour, then work, then "peep" then work. You just can't help it :11:
Through "our birds" I have made friendships for life, people who have become very dear and precious to me.
Having daily contact with "bird crazy" people, makes my life complete. ;)
Ps... My guys Sean and Steven would love to know how many hours I have spent of the forum :11: best they don't know Lol

I do like the idea of a chat room but how would it be moderated during the chats? You know people can be very inappropriate is chat room settings.

This forum is very addictive!! I get up extra early now to check it as most of the activity goes on when I'm asleep - damn timezones.

I think it's great that we can all have an opinion without being critisized and can agree to disagree. Everyone is so encouraging and genually care about what's going on in each others lives. There's hope for humanity yet
