You could lost money with the bebop batteries.
They can't last for 12 months as everybody assumes with 12 month warranty. The parrot changes its tone to 6 month warranty for the batteries. We can't find clearly the terms and conditions re: batteries on this website. This is my first time to be misled/cheated by a parrot.

This is a "Parrot Forum!" The live type that do not require batteries!

The batteries that you should be using are call 'rechargeable,' which meant that after a limited period of operation, they need to be recharged in a proper battery recharging unit. Commonly not included with the whatever you are operating.

All rechargeable batteries have a limited life if they are fully discharge over and over again. So, consider using them for a half life and recharge at that point. You will find that recharging is quicker and battery overall life will be much longer!

Best of luck with your endeavors!

Wonder where the battery compartment is located on my little guy, or for that matter the "on/off" and "volume" switch:52::eek::09:

Ah, a case of mistaken identity! I believe the new member OP identified ParrotForums as a source of information for the Bebop Parrot Drone!!

That is because spam bots can not and do not look at the content like humans do, I am kind of surprised so many have replied, but the replies are some what humorous , this is the first time
I have seen any spam on this forum, other then the advertisements that are paying for the service.
But that is different/
It, the bot will be posting anywhere it can, that has any words like "parrot" or "batteries", etc.

There are real battery powered parrots, now a days, my wife was telling me they saw some
in a store when they were in the city shopping,...I told her I want one, but so far she has not bought one, I wanted /want to see how the real parrots respond to one, might be a neat toy for
others with "single" lonely parrots,...

Well, I have not actually seen on yet, so I don't know,... I would think there is a switch
to turn it off or on, Other wise how would one turn it off ?
OH no, now I remember, she said it was triggered by noise, so the switch was automatic,
The toy comes with a cage as well, and if someone claps there hands, or even shouts at it,
that triggers the switch, and it would move around a little, it also had some kind of device
that would capture / record the voice, it "heard", and then play it back. In other words if one
spoke loudly, saying " Hello , anyone home ? ", it would respond, saying the same thing.
Sounded kind of neat to me, I really wanted her to get one , so I could see it. Maybe it is to expensive, now that I am thinking about it, I will ask her, about it.
Can you imagine the look on a real parrots face, when they scream at it, and it screams back at them , with the exact same voice,... my guess, with my birds they would try to attack it, but being in a cage it would be protected.

Thanks Scott. I was thinking it was some kind of bluetooth headset for some reason.

I have often wondered what Kiwi's reaction would be to a drone, but for as funny as it may be to find out I try not to deliberately scare or harass the creature:rolleyes:.

Apparently "Parrot" produces drones for hobby, business, and agriculture as well as headphones, plant watering devices and hands-free Bluetooth units for autos. Cool name, tho!
