I have been thinking on this for a while. We have a bereavement thread but what I am asking for is somewhat different.

After the pain has lessened and it's possible to look back on a life that is no longer there people might like to share there favorite photos.
Someplace to remember them at there best and maybe share some stories.

I have photos of Plumas that I lost in December 2016. Not many stories with him but that's my point. Be nice to have a thread dedicated the birds that have flown over the rainbow bridge.

Great idea, Wes. I'll post in the mod forum to get some feedback and report back!

Memorial and Remembrance thread. I just like that word remembrance. A very thoughtful idea indeed.

This is a wonderful idea, has merit and it is a concept that I would support. That all said, I believe that we have a Forum that this type of Thread would work well: Incredible Journeys; Bird Stories For Bird Lovers

It provides both a Forum for the Thread that fully supports the concept and a place that is already a Memorial for several Companions that have past. It also keeps the Thread 'up front' if you will, where a Photo Gallery as part of your Personal Profile would not.

I have made good use of this thread as a means of The Story Behind each of my birds and how I acquired them.

I guess my argument about using this thread as a memorial is that without putting something in the name of the individual post or reading the post how would you know it was about a parrot that had passed on?
It would be a mixture of living and passed on.
