It seems the profiles are not working or have been lost.

The forums have been quite quiet for some time. I'm not sure if you all (Black Nova, Tex, and other moderators) have been busy elsewhere, or if the site moved and there wasn't an announcement.

Anyhow, there has been some recent activity on the forums and I would like to see it continue. I'd be happy to offer whatever services I can to keep the site in order.

Thanks,

Jesse

Hi Jesse,

We purchased the forum last week and have been working hard to completely redesign the site! If you have any suggestions please let us know, we are very excited to be here and help community grow.

I'm new to your forums but familiar with forums in general. If there is anything I can assist with, please let me know. I like what you have here. I was previously listed on your forums as Doves by Denny.

I never really abandoned the place, I have just been locked out for the longest time ... my username and password wasn't being recognized ... seems as though someone changed the locks on me ... (really guys, I can take a hint)

Love the new face life, let's hope that it drives some new memberships, because as AD said, this place had been a ghost town for far too long. But here is a suggestion - is there anyway to delete threads/posts that are over a year old or so ... I am looking through the old threads and, yes they are pertinent, but the original posters of those threads aren't even around anymore ... with this new face lift why not start almost completely fresh?

Welcome back Tex,

I think removing some of the ancient threads could be good as well, though not necessarily all of them. If someone had a sick bird two years ago (as sad as it may be) one way or the other the situation has by now resolved and they don't need more advice. In contrast, however, there are several threads from some time ago that discuss the pros and cons of different foods, or cage-bottom materials, etc. Those threads may be worth keeping.

Would it be possible to shuffle the older inactive threads into an "Archive" section? That way it someone was searching for information they could find it, while those threads would be otherwise tucked away out of sight.

You can archive old posts but leaving the posts in their current section is what the search engines see and that drives new traffic here. That's the best way to jump start the site and get new blood going is to get fresh faces on the site which drum up new discussions.
