In the last week I have been trying to upload photos (like I usually do) and I keep getting an error message:

MVIMG_20180115_185004.jpg:
Exceeds forum quota by 46.6 KB.

What is going on and how can I continue to upload photos as a thumbnail?

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
There are two ways to post pics to the forum; internal and hosted.

Due to memory storage constraints, each member is allotted a finite amount of photo storage space. It can be increased by becoming a Supporting Member, which you are, but is still limited.

The preferred method is via a hosted outside source. Photobucket was long the preferred vendor, but subscription costs are extreme. Many members now use Imgur or SmugMug.

I am a work in progress, so cannot give a personal recommendation! Will try to subscribe to Imgur next few days!

You can also create an album on Parrot Forums and upload pictures there, then copy the link and click on the little photo icon and paste it in there.

Hmm thanks guys. Photo bucket is really annoying....I tried it the other day and it only made a link to the photos and then asked for hundreds of dollars. So I'll try these other methods thank you!

I discovered (uploading to the POTM contest) that this happens when you've exceeded your allowance for the forums.

It's not terribly much.

You can go onto your control panel and delete the photos you've uploaded previously - or use 3rd party hosting.

Or, petition loudly for the admins to increase our allowance size!

I have been trying to do this but not working. For give me cause might be me not knowing what I'm doing.

I also have been having a problem only two photos I have uploaded are two POTM pictures and nothing else uploaded and I can’t delete the POTM pictures. So I can’t post any pictures at all now. Is this what has happened to you also?
