Great video and you have that same cage I have for Bogart I put a little beaded toy in the corner of the door so he could climb out on his own that plexi is too slick.

Cute video! We have that same cage too. Our Black cap came with it but we've since upgraded him, we have two budgies in it now :)

:D Thanks guys!! I have been trying to capture it on video for a while and today I ninjad and managed to get this. That foot toy is his best bud. He started making a funny noise yesterday when he accidentally tossed it off and it rolled under my dresser. He kisses that bell ball constantly (I think he even does it once in the video), it's the best $4 I ever spent!

I have tried giving him a larger cage (we now use it for Sugar, funny enough) and he absolutely hated it. He refused to go inside it, unless he was forced to. Once inside, he would beg to come out. While on top of it, he would screech in a tone that he hasn't used since or used prior. So, back into that one and he couldn't be happier. He goes in and out constantly. I may try a larger bow front for him later on, but for now, he's content and we just want to keep him that way!

That is adorable. Where did you get the bell ball? I must get Forrest one. He doesn't like toys very much. He thinks I am his toy. LOL
Maybe he will like that one.

13yr. old male umbrella cockatoo,
we call him Amigo!

7yr. old Goffin cockatoo, she IS Sassy!!
awww...what a cutie! He sure does enjoy his toy! I know what you mean about changing cages. Sassy is so in love with hers that I'm afraid to get her something different, meaning bigger. I think that if they have enough out of cage time, them being happy with what they already have will be good.

About a year, or so, ago, Amigo discovered golf balls. He was in the house and my husband golfs so there happened to be a golf ball on one of the recliner chairs. Amigo tried to sit, as in nesting, on it! He tucked it under his belly and scooched around like you see chickens do with their eggs. Really had me wondering whether or not he was truly a male cockatoo. I'm convinced he is, but it was pretty bizarre. I'm thinking that male and female cockatoos set on their eggs? Don't know!

GiosMom - I hope he likes it!
Dishgal - I got it at a local store, the same place I got Sugar, actually. She had an assortment of foot toys and I thought Sugar would like it. I never thought Loki would, as it's almost as big as he is! I have no idea where to buy one online, but try MySafeBirdStore.com, they may have something similar. I need to find it online, in case I ever need a replacement!!
Parrotmamma -he really is!

I wasn't saying that your cage is inadequate in any way! Our conure is just super active and he was busting his tail all up in his and was constantly trying to get out(chewing on the bars, etc). We moved him up to a slightly bigger cage and it didn't make much difference. Then we finally got him an even bigger cage and he finally has a pretty tail again. :p Some birds are just more active then others, ours happens to be a nutcase lol.

Oh no no no, I didn't think you were! Sorry if that's how I came across, not my intention at all. He's a real snugly guy and I think the dome top was just too open for him - he really likes small, confined spaces. He's pretty active, but I give him and Sugar a lot of out of cage time.
