Squeaky was born with defective upper beak. Appeared a bit too small with tip curved inward. CAV wanted to wait until fully weaned and built him a prosthetic tip that helped curve more outward. Restricted to formula and soft foods for 2 weeks or so. Beak appeared normal with prosthetic removed. Absolutely normal appearing beak, no routine care required!

That's amazing! So was it almost like rehab for the beak then? Thank goodness Squeaky wasn't injured in a fight or accident, it would have made things so much more traumatic all round!

I think it's more like braces lol!

Definitely like braces! I have a pic somewhere that perfectly illustrates the beak almost from birth.

My purpose for this thread was to better understand the process of uploading images from iPhone to gallery, then posting. Part of trouble shooting a member issue.
