African Grey named Teabag, unknown age or sex.
Hello,
I have an African Grey (unknown age/sex) that has been with our family for about 20years.
Recently I have noticed one of his nails has become longer, thicker, and paler than the rest of his nails. It is also rounded/dull at the tip whereas the rest are sharp and dark. (See photos)

From doing some reading I realise I may need to trim his nails regardless as they are quite long - but unsure about why this particular nail is growing differently.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe that’s the toe claw he uses to pick his nose :ROFLMAO: .
But seriously I would recommend a avian vet visit.
My Grey Bella seems to keep her nails trimmed by herself.
So my thoughts are this nail could be sensitive for some reasons and so your bird is not keeping it trimmed.
That’s why an avian vet and not some Tom, Dick, or Harry down the street to do a basic nail trim.
