Bee pollen perches

Has anyone used these bee pollen perches? Are the safe? I have read that they are safe fir birds to eat but I am concerned as they have propylene glycol as an ingredient. Yay or nay?

I give mine bee pollen. . . Never heard of bee pollen perches tho

I have two, one for the budgies and one for my GCC but they don't eat them

They can last a long time. Occasionally someone chews them up quickly. But usually last months

Propylene glycol is a carrier agent used in human food products (and other things). I think it’s quite safe and stable, mostly is used to stick the pollen to the perch. It can be a skin sensitizer in allergic-type people so if you had a picky bird or bird had foot skin issues you might avoid it.

Bee pollen is very nutritious; I think it’s known as a superfood.

My cockatiel was the only one that chewed the pollen perch, but she stopped after like a week and now it's just a normal perch to her.

You should! I put bee pollen granules in my birds big batch of chop I freeze, it has lots of amino acids.
