I switched my parakeets and cockatiels to a less expensive pellet food.
They loved their zupreem fruit blend small pellets but feeding 7 parakeets and two cockatiels pellet food gets expensive.
I purchased a 20 lb bag of pretty bird pellet food in size small for about $50.00
and free shipping. My birds were able to immediately switch to the new pellet food.
It looked identical except the pellets were flat and not round. The smell was similar but less fruity. The taste was identical. The colors were the same. My birds couldnt even tell the difference.
petco sells 3.5 lb bags of zupreem for $22 so it would be $132 for about 20lbs of zupreems.
