Oliver- Sun Conure
So I have been working with my new sun conure, Oliver. He knows all of the basic tricks step up, target, spin, wave, wings etc. but I want to teach him something more complex. Some ideas I have are basic recall, fetch, and making certain sounds on cue. So I guess what I am saying is, does anyone have any new trick ideas? Preferably Original, but all suggestions are accepted. Thanks

Whether your Parrot is flighted or not. I would recommend that you first work on several basic interactions. clearly Step-Up is first and likely already in place. Now include; Step-Down, Stay, Come-here, etc... Also, look at positions to hold during a Vet examination. Yes, the basics are somewhat boring, but are very important for your long and enjoyable life with your Parrot. Also, these basics are a great starting points for more complex positions.

A cool trick I used to do with my little Maxie was too have him Step Up onto a chopstick and then spin him around around and around. He loved it, salty hates it. it was pretty funny to watch.
