Quinn has been home one week today and I took him for his one week check. He's been amazing so I was disappointed to learn he has lost weight. He was 108g when I brought him home and today he is 100g. She said it is normal for him to lose a bit of weight the first week and not to worry and to bring him back in 2 weeks for another weight check. She said to continue with just 3 15 minute play sessions a day as too much handling could cause him to lose weight. I was hoping to be able to take him out for longer periods of time but I want what is best for him. He seems to eat well and doesn't seem picky at all. The next 2 weeks will be 'operation fatten up Quinn'.

LOL, the opposite of my vet's one week checkup goal for Sammy: that was "operation slim this seed slurpin' fatso down."

I'm jealous that you get to have a Quaker. That was my first choice during my research I discovered they are illegal in California. Love my Quinn though! So it all worked out.

My Quaker is quite a character. He is so BOSSY. One second he is a darling, the next second he is a devil and you have to lay down the law! I love him to death, but you can tell he has a Napoleon complex. I guess it's Small Beak Syndrome, where you have to prove that you're just as good as birds with big old beaks!
