46 yo Orange Winged Amazon with very swollen vent. Cloacal prolapse?

Hi, I just joined for help wondering what others would do to help Rio, or what experience has there been in them coming back from this?
Still eating okay, still perching, a little blood in droppings, nothing visible in fecal under microscope to identify problem, making a long sound occasionally with wide open beak -stress, pain? with vent trying to open due to constipation? More urate liquid than green poop. Have lavaged with warm sugar/honey water and applied KY. Pic attached

Welcome to the forums, @EMZE55, I'm glad you found us but I'm sorry for the circumstances. Is your OWA male or female? I'm glad you thought to apply KY jelly as that is a recommended interim treatment for prolapse to keep the tissues moist, but in order to have it addressed properly it will require veterinary intervention, so as to prevent infection or tissue death. I imagine you already have an avian vet whom you see, but just in case you don't or you're unable to get in to see your regular vet, I've linked our worldwide list of avian specialists below for your reference, as this should be seen to as soon as possible...
