A big thanks and update

Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave me advice and helped me out when I got Scarlet. Im glad I had this forum to highly compliment my research before and when I brought Scarlet home. You guys are awesome!

Scarlet is doing really well! We are becoming best buddies and she is a really sweet girl. I had some territorial issues with her when she was in her cage but that was "fixed" by basically letting her chew the crap outta my finger and letting her know Im not backing down lol. Took some blood but now she rarely bites me and if she does, I know she just really dosent want to be bothered and I respect her space.
She is healthy, happy, talkative, and just a great bird.

Anyways, thanks again and ill be around! Take care.

I congratulate and commend you on your relationship with Scarlet. How old is she? How long did it take her to adjust to her new home? What is your household like? (# of people, busyness etc) Until recently i stayed pretty much in the CAG section as that is what kind of fid owns me. But I am really wanting to expand now that he has trained me in the bird lifestyle and a female ekkie is what I am aiming for, but ..... not for a while as I want to learn first.

Scarlet is 18 years old. Ive only had her about 2 months now and it took her a good 3-4 weeks to adjust to her new home and she is just now really warming up to me in a bonding sort of way. I live in a 2 bedroom condo with my wife and her son who is almost 5. My son stays with me every now and then and he is 9. We also have a puppy that is 8 months old now (Bichon Frise) and she is a little spaz. Im really big into video games and movies so there is always something going on in the living room where she is. Of course, she chooses to talk the most during movie time haha.
