After weeks of making small but steady progress with my GW tonight she quickly crossed her playtop to greet me, held up a foot as if she wanted to step up.

I placed my arm under her foot and she just stayed there for a few minutes...one foot on the bars of her cage and the other on my arm. She then started to preen herself and allowed me to give her a good head scratch. Then she stepped onto my arm. Wow what a feeling! Got a few pinches but hey...this is a bird that, just 5 weeks ago, was lunging and biting! Quite a difference in behaviour and the daily interaction, playing ball with her, singing to her are beginning to pay off.

It can only get better from here! :)

That is awesome. You must feel so proud of her. I bet she will become a very good pet in a few more weeks of training. Great job. :D

I love hearing stories like this! Keep it up!

Just think in 6 months time you'll take it for granted after enjoying months of unconditional love from her.
I know I do now. I'd be absolutely shocked if mine didn't want to glue himself to my shoulder the minute I walk through the door.

So glad to hear things are moving along for the two of you!

Beautiful! I'm so glad to hear that you have had so much progress with her. It sounds as though you are doing an amazing job working with her.

Uhmmm... we do need some pics, though. Just saying...
