Yes he did like the bath! He looks mad but he was doing the "shower dance" while I sprayed him.
Actually, he gets around pretty well even with this many feathers gone. Supposedly he was allowed to fly around a lot after he fledged, and I *think* the breeder may have clipped him like this in anticipation of him going off to a new home. She seems to think that leaving the first two feathers, then taking two, leaving two, and taking two more is a good way to clip. I'm not too worried about it, as he certainly doesn't drop to the ground, understands how to land and steer, etc. I do want to get him flying more so he stays fitm though. And I won't clip him again, barring extreme behavior like dive-bombing to seriously attack.
And OOOH YES, his little hop. It's the most adorable thing!! Granted he couldn't care less about the play stand, he just wants to get to me so he can chomp me.
