What a great article! This should be read by anyone thinking of adding one of these amazing creatures to their lives. I love them, any time I have interacted with one of them I have wanted very much to bring one home. However, for all the reasons mentioned, I know better. I am not at a place in my life where I could give one everything they need. (I do wish I had a friend that had one, so I could get my cockatoo "fix" now and then! LOL)
