Abnormal growth next to beak?!?

Hello,
I have owned my IRN for almost 2 years now and throughout this time she has had this weird growth next to her beak on three separate occasions. This is currently on her left side and while the previous two growths fell off on their own, this one has stayed there for a few months now. One growth had been on her right side while another was on her left side, but both fell off within a span of a few weeks. I have tried to look up what it could be, but I find nothing about it. I also asked the pet shop where we got her from if they knew what it is, but they had no idea and told me that it should just go away eventually. I tried to see if I could gently remove it, but when I touch it she seems to feel pain and thrashes around so I stop. I am posting on here in hopes of someone knowing what it is before I take her to the vet, since it is not cheap to simply take her that often. Thank you in advance!

Beautiful color IRN!

Probably in the wart virus family.
Thank you! If it is part of the wart virus, is it something serious that a vet should look at? I will take her to the vet eventually, but if it is serious then I will take her immediately.

I don't know, on skin not so serious will grow and fall off as described. Does have a big blood supply so don't try and remove on your own.

I don't know if having external is linked with internal. Internal kind can be more serious

I am not a vet. So I have no way of really knowing if that's what this is. It could be something more serious? I really can't say. But I " think " its a wart

I think you might be right about all this, but I will definitely have a vet take a look at her just in case. Thank you for your help!

Always a most excellent choice to consult an avian veterinarian!

Tell us more about your beautiful birdie! We often have members with questions about owning a IRN. Plus would love a whole burd picture!! Such amazing color!
